Today was again short, but this time non-flat, crossing Triple Divide Pass. I slept in once again, and when I finally did start up the valley moose bellowed, although they never emerged into my field of view. I enjoyed the walk up to the pass and the giant, sheer rock walls. At Triple Divide Pass the weather was great, and I remained quite a while enjoying the massive scenery and a herd of about a dozen mountain goats that grazed nearby. Coming down from the pass the trail traversed a steep slope that I was glad was snow free, before branching into a large valley to Morning Star Lake, with its sheer rock wall towering above the water.
